This year I decided to go on a Solar Return. For those of you who are not familiar with this concept, here is what Astrologer, Shelley Ackerman has to say:
The Solar-Return chart can be a strong indicator of what your year will be like. The Sun’s cycle through the zodiac takes approximately 365 days. When the Sun returns to the exact degree and minute as the Sun in your horoscope, a chart is cast for that precise moment and location. Because your Solar-Return rarely occurs at the exact moment of your birth, the Solar-Return chart differs from year to year. Many astrologers (myself included) have collected evidence that it can be advisable to travel to get a better or more auspicious chart. Astrologers can’t make too many promises, however, we can certainly use our skills to stack the deck in your favor.
I personally have taken Solar Return trips and they were well worth the effort. This year, I went to Austin and New Orleans and the message was very clear: ease and allowing. Being in a different environment allowed me to transform my energy and get clear with my intentions.
