My heart hurts to see all the violence that is going on in the world, simply because I believe that deep inside each one of us, is a spark of Divinity…even if we are not aware of it yet. As we come to the end of summer, I dedicate this newsletter to peace, and want to share with you some peace prayers from many different traditions. Let our prayers cover the planet with the possibility for peace. Please share these with as many people as you can.
Take a few deep breaths and quiet your mind. Light a candle for peace.
Taoist Prayers for Peace
If there is to be peace in the world,
There must be peace in the nations.
If there is to be peace in the nations,
There must be peace in the cities.
If there is to be peace in the cities,
There must be peace between neighbors.
If there is to be peace between neighbors,
There must be peace in the home.
If there is to be peace in the home,
There must be peace in the heart.
—Lao-Tse
