The Divine Mother in all religions represents the creative force of the Universe and unconditional love. She manifests on the planet as nature and motherhood in all forms. She can be fierce like the Egyptian goddess Sekhtmet or embody gentle compassion like Kuan Yin. She has been known as the Blessed Mary, the Shekina, Isis, Demeter, Gaia, Frigg, Tara, Pachamama, and Shakti just to name a few To be in her presence is to experience something holy. The Feminine Principle of God is the Divine Nurturer.
When we lose our connection to the Divine mother we become disconnected, frustrated and uncaring of ourselves and others. We then lose our passion and inner light.

Ritual to Connect to The Divine Mother
Light a floating candle and place it in a bowl of water. Water is the symbolic womb of the world. Take one red, white and pink rose. Pluck the petals and place them in the water.
Optional: Play the song, Ancient Mother by Robert Gass. There are many versions, but I love this one. Or you can chant a mantra like “Om Shree Matre Namah.” You can also simply chant “Ma…ma……ma.”
Sit and imagine you can breathe in the energy of the Divine Mother.
Place your arms around yourself and give yourself a gentle hug as you feel yourself in her gentle embrace. Know you are practicing the art of sacred touch.
Read this prayer:
Divine Mother, allow me to see clearly your presence in all of life.
May I always be guided by your wisdom and love.
Today I AM a focus of Divine Love
I radiate Love. I AM love in action.
Let me be an anchor of love for all.
When the candle burns down completely remove it from the water and gather up the rose petals and the water and save them to place in your bath whenever you need the comfort and support of the Mother.
